Rather Be Working

With the struggling economy concrete construction is also struggling. So here I am blogging towards my degree in Agriculture Education, instead of pouring out mud like I should be doing. Someday I will have job security, provided I make it though all this blogginess that I am no so familiar with.

Something interesting that I found online was a news paper clipping that stated
For Sale: One pair
Hardly used dentures,
Only two teeth missing,
$100 OBO
It then stated the name and number of the person who placed the ad.
This reminds me of when I was little and I would read Reader’s Digest. They had a page or two of funny stories or write-ups like this. Reading frivolous articles like this seems to always put a smile on my face and lighten my mood!

My first blog

I am on the Internet all the time and this is my first blog. This semester will be interesting. I hope to get to know more about everyone this semester.

Practice post

One of my favorite TV shows is "So You Think You Can Dance." I enjoy going online to YouTube or some other site that shows recaps of the dances, so I can watch them again. There are two dances I love to watch, and they were both nominated for Emmy's this year. One is danced to Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love," and one is danced to Jordin Sparks' "No Air." Does anyone else like this show, or have any good websites to follow some of the dances and dancers from the show?

Well hello everyone! This is my first experience with blogging and it should be interesting.

Internet

I find the whole internet thing still interesting. It has been around for a while now but I am still amazed at all the things you can do or find. My dad has a super big family, so he created a website for our family. He has pictures posted of everyone and poeple can leave messeges. It's a good way to stay in touch.

Something funny on the internet

Something I found to be rather funny online was on the website for YouTube. I don’t use YouTube very often but when I was at work one day a coworker of mine told me to look up a wedding video. It was a video of a wedding. When the wedding party was coming up the isle for the wedding they all were dancing to music that was playing. Even the bride and groom were dancing up the isle in this video. It was very entertaining to watch. I even showed my family members the video.

Something interesting that I have recently seen on the internet was when my 15 year oldson and his friends were researching ingredients that are in the energy drinks like “monster”. One of the ingredients (besides a lot of sugar) was Guarana which is a shrub from Venezuela. The seeds contain as much as 3 times the amount of caffeine as coffee beans. But the amount of caffeine does not have to be listed on the label like other drinks. This is just something I found interesting.
