There are many times of great innovation and change in the history of the world. So many wars, ideas, and other things were shaping the way world worked. While picking just one time to visit is a challenge in itself, but one time in particular stand out. If I could go back in time it would be to America in the 1960’s.
America in the 1960’s was going through many social and cultural changes. This time shaped everything from civil rights to music. Being able to visit this time would allow me the opportunity to witness some of the most important events in Americas history.
One of the things I would have to see and experience would be Martin Luther King J.R.’s speech son racial equality. When he gave his “ I have a dream” speech it was very inspirational to many people. This inspiration was instrumental in the civil rights movement.
Another place I would have to see is Woodstock. This concert brought together some of the most amazing performers in the history of music. Artists like Jimi Hendrix, and Santana put on legendary performances that would be remembered forever.
In 1964 the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. This is one of the most memorable performances in rocks history. It was universally known as the event that launched the Beatles career. Watching them perform would be an unforgettable experience.
There are hundreds of events throughout the worlds history that would be amazing to see. While each one is unique and would offer unforgettable memories, the 1960’s in America is the time that s most important to me.
